OptiSlice Complete User Guide

OptiSlice is a pure frontend image processing tool that runs in your browser. No image uploads to servers - all processing happens locally on your device, ensuring maximum speed and absolute privacy.

Basic Slicing Mode

The most versatile slicing mode, suitable for dividing large images into regular pieces.

1. Grid Mode

  • Set Rows and Columns, the system will automatically divide the image evenly.
  • Drag to Adjust: Drag the white grid lines directly on the canvas for irregular divisions.
  • Snap Alignment: Hold Shift while dragging grid lines to snap to 1/2, 1/3, 1/4 positions.
  • Crop with Ratio: Enable "Fixed Ratio Crop" to lock a specific aspect ratio (e.g., 1:1), then move the image to select the best composition before grid division.

2. Fixed Size

  • Enter fixed width and height (e.g., 100x100 px), the system will crop from the top-left corner.
  • Preserve Transparent Padding: If checked, edges that don't meet the size will be filled with transparent background; otherwise, it will crop to the actual remaining size.

Social Media Mode

Designed specifically for social media, helping you create more creative profile pages.

Instagram Grid

Cut an image into a 3x3 square grid. When posted, it forms a large image effect on your profile page.

Panorama Carousel

Create Instagram's sliding carousel albums.

  • Set Number of Slices (2-10).
  • Set single image ratio (4:5 is Instagram's optimal vertical ratio).
  • The tool automatically handles overlapping parts for seamless transitions.
💡 Tip: Click "Preview Effect" to simulate the sliding preview experience on mobile.

AI Smart Extraction

A powerful tool for game developers and sticker makers. Uses algorithms to automatically identify individual elements in transparent background images.

Steps:

  1. Import an image with multiple elements on transparent background (Sprite Sheet or scattered images).
  2. Click "Start Smart Detection".
  3. Fine-tune Parameters:
    • Alpha Tolerance: Adjust sensitivity to semi-transparent pixels.
    • Minimum Area: Filter out tiny noise.
    • Edge Expansion: Expand selection outward to avoid cutting object edges.
  4. Export: Support exporting as ZIP (each image saved separately) or GIF animation.

Advanced: Auto Clustering

If an image is incorrectly identified as two (e.g., character and floating hat), you can:

  • Manual Merge: Hold Ctrl (Mac: Command) to select multiple boxes, then click "Merge Regions".
  • Target Count: Enter "Target Count" in settings (e.g., known 12 stickers), the algorithm will use K-Means clustering to merge fragments into 12 groups.

Batch Processing

Process dozens of images at once. Just drag in multiple images, set one rule (e.g., all cut to 2x2), click export and get automatically categorized and packaged ZIP files.

Wand & Eraser

No need to open Photoshop, handle simple background removal directly in the browser.

  • Wand: Click a color in the image to automatically remove similar backgrounds. Supports "Contiguous" and "Global Replace" modes.
  • Eraser: Manually erase unwanted blemishes or watermarks.
